The Toronto Botanical Garden is offering FREE virtual events throughout October. These one-hour live, online Zoom presentations invite families to connect with wonderful nature-based authors, storytellers, and illustrators. During each program, presenters will read from their books, share stories, and answer your questions.
You’re welcome to join me Saturday, October 23, 10 to 11 a.m.
I’ll be guiding an art activity that explores the tiny ecosystems that can be found on a single tree branch. I’ll demonstrate some of my favourite paper collage techniques and offer up imaginative ideas on how your family can incorporate natural found materials, like pinecones and leaves, to make anything from bird nests to butterflies. I’ll also be reading from my book My Forest is Green.
This program runs approximately 30 minutes, leaving plenty of time to answer questions.
